Conel LR77 WiFi Full Version with plastic shell and dedicated connector for GPS

Industrial model 4G router. Conel LR77 provides speeds up to 100 Mbit/s download and up to 50 Mbit/s upload. The model is designed for applications that require high operational reliability. This model has a dedicated GPS connector which enables the connection of an external GPS antenna while maintaining MiMo/Diversity in the radio part. Other LR77 models do not have a dedicated GPS connector, which means that one of the LTE antennas must be used for the GPS signal. Then only one of the LTE antennas is used for the mobile network, which contributes to reduced speed.

An active GPS antenna with 5m SMA male cable is included. The GPS antenna has a magnetic base but is not dependent on a ground plane, which means that it can be attached to any surface.

Note that the included rubber stick antennas cannot be used in this router because it becomes too tight between the antenna contacts. An external antenna with cable must be used, alternatively spacers in the form of item no. 5168 and 5187.

Dual SIM cards
The Conel LR77 Full version has dual SIM card slots so you can have two different operators for maximum operational security. The router can switch to the secondary SIM card in case of problems with the primary operator.

Data collection and control
A digital input to control e.g. status or alarm buttons. The device has extended temperature range for operation in -30 to +60 degrees. It can be powered 10-30V DC. Choose the appropriate power supply.

VRRP fail over
LR77 supports VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) and can stand as standby for another router/firewall. Two or more UR5i can be connected together, e.g. with different 3G operators for a redundant solution with maximum operational reliability.

SMS
LR77 has built-in support for SMS. SMS can e.g. can be used to control the device (reset, status report or control the digital output) but can also be used to let a device behind the UR5i send SMS (via e.g. Telnet). You can also route incoming SMS to the USB port or a TCP socket on the network.

VPN tunneling
LR77 has built-in support for IPSec tunnel, GRE tunnel, SSL tunnel and L2TP.

Remote Administration
The LR77 can be remotely administered via Webinterface or Conel administration software designed to manage many devices simultaneously.

Expansion card
It is possible to get the LR77 WiFi Full with an extra expansion card.

The following expansion cards are available for the LR77 FULL:

  • Ethernet (provides an additional 10/100Mbit Ethernet port)
  • RS-232 (provides a serial port)
  • RS-485/RS-422
  • I/O (provides the following extras: 4 digital inputs (of which 2 can be counters), 2 analog inputs 4-20mA and 1 digital output)
  • M-Bus (provides a ModBus connection for up to 30 slaves)

Suitable for e.g.:

  • Video surveillance
  • Advertising signs
  • < li>Datains management and control
  • Card terminals
  • Vehicle systems

Explanation of frequency bands

When choosing an antenna, pay attention to which frequency bands the antenna supports. Depending on which operator and where the antenna will be used, the frequency bands vary. Larger cities use 2600MHz while smaller towns use 800/900MHz with some support bands in between such as 1800/2100MHz.

A higher frequency band gives a higher speed but also has a shorter range. The same applies to the antenna, if you have a base station that transmits on 2600MHz, your antenna, antenna cable and the location of the antenna become more important than on a lower frequency band. Explanation of signal loss we will go through soon. Higher frequency bands also mean shorter range from the base station.

450MHz (coverage band) also known as the Net1 band is the frequency band that covers the most area in Sweden. Therefore, Net1 is known to be able to have reception where other operators don´t have a chance, but with low download and upload speeds. The reason why this band is called Net1 is because that the company Net1 has exclusive rights to this frequency band.

800MHz (coverage band) is used by all common operators, excluding Net1. The low frequency band means that 800MHz covers a lot of space. Therefore, the band is used outside big cities or smaller towns. 800MHz is the most used frequency band around Europe.

900MHz (coverage band) is the band that Tele2 and Telenor initially used as coverage band. 900MHz is a more unusual LTE band and in the beginning the band caused some problems when the clients (mobile phones etc.) could not connect to 900MHz. Today, the mobile phone manufacturers have adapted the mobile phones to be able to communicate on 900MHz.

1800MHz (capacity band) is the latest frequency band launched. All operators today use this band in metropolitan centers (apart from Net1).

2600MHz (capacity band) is a very well-used frequency band all over Europe. 2600MHz is the highest frequency band used for LTE, this means that the band also has the shortest range compared to 800/900MHz. Due to the high capacity, the band is used in metropolitan environments where many base stations are required to cover as much surface as possible and have as high a capacity as possible.
