SMLIGHT SLZB-MRW10U is an advanced multiradio adapter for smart homes, system integration and professional installations. It combines Zigbee or Thread with a separate dedicated Z-Wave radio, together with Ethernet, PoE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB Passthrough.

The device runs SMLIGHT SLZB-OS and provides a web interface, diagnostics, logs, OTA updates and integration options for platforms such as Home Assistant.

SLZB-MRW10U is especially suitable for installations where you want to combine Zigbee/Thread and Z-Wave in the same network-connected device.

Radio architecture

SLZB-MRW10U contains two separate radio chipsets for smart home protocols:

Texas Instruments CC2674P10 – supports Zigbee or Thread
Silicon Labs EFR32ZG23 – dedicated to Z-Wave
Espressif ESP32-S3 – used for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and system functions

This means the device can, for example, be used for:

Zigbee + Z-Wave simultaneously
Thread + Z-Wave simultaneously

Please note that Zigbee and Thread cannot run simultaneously on separate main radio chipsets in this model, as the EFR32ZG23 is a Z-Wave/sub-GHz chipset and does not support Thread.

For installations where Zigbee and Thread must run simultaneously on two separate 2.4 GHz radio chipsets, models such as SLZB-MR3U, MR4U or MR5U are recommended instead.

USB Passthrough

SLZB-MRW10U supports USB over Ethernet Passthrough.

This allows a compatible USB serial device to be connected directly to the adapter and made available to a server or smart home system over the network.

Support is available for several common USB serial chipsets and CDC-ACM devices. Compatibility with all third-party USB devices cannot be guaranteed.
