Shelly Dimmer Gen4 is a compact and flexible smart dimmer control that makes it easy to modernize your lighting without having to replace the entire installation. It mounts discreetly behind an existing switch and gives you full control over the brightness – via app, smart home systems, voice assistants or automations.

With Shelly's new Gen4 chip, you get support for multiple communication protocols in the same device, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee. In addition, Shelly Dimmer Gen4 is Matter certified, making it easy to integrate into modern smart home ecosystems such as Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant.

The device can be used with or without a neutral conductor, making it particularly useful in both older and newer electrical installations. For installations without a neutral conductor and with low loads below 20 W, a Shelly Bypass for dimmers is required.

Important to consider

When installing without a neutral conductor, a Shelly Bypass is required for dimmers if the connected load is below 20 W.
