Category 6 is an improvement over Category 5e, enabling transmission frequencies up to 250 MHz (per pair) and a data capacity of 1 Gbps. It is manufactured with characteristics and specifications designed to minimize crosstalk and interference. This type of data cable can be used in 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T compatible systems.
