Milesight EM500-STMC is a LoRaWAN device with three different sensors that monitor cropland. It monitors soil moisture, temperature, and soil electrical conductivity.

Due to LoRaWAN's long range (10 km in open terrain) and sensor nodes with 10-year battery life, these devices are well suited for agriculture and large greenhouse facilities . But it also works for golf courses and other applications where you want to monitor the earth.

EM500 is designed for industrial applications with very high requirements for operational reliability and accuracy.

The EM500 series is completely waterproof ( IP67) and made for outdoor placement in temperatures from -30 to +70 degrees, .

The device is super easy to install and maintain as it comes with a very large (19,000 mAh) Li-SOCI batteries that last 10 years (at 10 minute intervals).

It has a multi-function bracket that can be screwed on, clamped around a pipe or mounted on a DIN rail.

The unit comes with a 2 meter cable to the sensor part itself that is inserted into the soil.

The sensor part comes with three flat pins that are easily pushed down even in compact soil. The sensor itself is professional quality with very accurate resolution

The connection to the Milesight LoRaWAN gateway and IoT Cloud is handled completely automatically just by scanning the barcode with the mobile app (Milesight IoT Cloud) or manually entering the serial number in the web portal.

The device will pre-configure (Plug-n-play) to only connect to the Milesight LoRaWAN gateway / Milesight IoT Cloud via the serial number on a barcode. But the device can be configured via a mobile app just by placing the mobile phone against the device (NFC) or via a PC and a USB-C cable. If you want to change the settings or configure the device to fit other LoRaWAN gateways or Cloud systems, it is easily done via the mobile app (NFC) or a PC (USB).
