The SMLIGHT SLZB-Ultima 3 is a powerful and flexible gateway designed for modern smart home installations. It combines support for Zigbee, Thread, Matter, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in a modular platform built for advanced Home Assistant setups.

Unlike a traditional USB coordinator, the SLZB-Ultima 3 connects to your network, allowing it to be placed where wireless coverage is best rather than next to the Home Assistant server. It can be connected via Ethernet and can also be equipped with a PoE module for both network connectivity and power through a single cable.

Zigbee and Thread at the same time

The SLZB-Ultima 3 is designed to support multiple radio networks simultaneously, making it especially suitable for installations where both Zigbee and Thread/Matter are used.

This makes it a strong choice for modern Home Assistant systems combining existing Zigbee devices with newer Matter-over-Thread products.

Modular and expandable design

One of the key advantages of the SLZB-Ultima 3 is its modular architecture. The device can be expanded with optional click-in modules, including:

It also includes USB host functionality and support for additional features such as IR, Bluetooth and external accessories.

SLZB-OS or ESPHome

The SLZB-Ultima 3 can run SMLIGHT's own SLZB-OS, which provides a user-friendly web interface for configuration and management.

SLZB-OS includes features such as network configuration, firmware updates, WireGuard VPN, DDNS, Zigbee functionality and integration assistance for Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA.

For users who want even tighter integration with Home Assistant, the device can also be used with ESPHome, enabling features such as Bluetooth Proxy, IR transmission and reception, GPIO and other local functions.
