Inductive sensor for measuring speed on drive shaft.

Instead of using the tachometer signal and measuring speed, you can measure speed and let the speed controller break when the set speed is reached.

This sensor, mounted on the drive shaft, gives a clean and stable pulse so that the speed controller can measure. By measuring speed instead of engine speed, you become independent of which gear is used. Remember to use at least 4 measurement points on the gimbal or at least 10 measurement points on a front tire. If less than 4 measurement points on a gimbal or 10 measurement points are used when measuring on a front tire, the frequency of the RPM controller will be too low. p>

Important information for cars with ignition coil!

Do not supply power to the sensor through the same cable that you have the ignition coil or relay connected to. It is very common that we have a pulsating signal in the form of ignition signals on the cables where the ignition coil and relay are connected. This causes you to have problems with having an underlying signal with your speed signal. Connect power to another position in from the car!

Note that the sensor and measurement points should be protected so they are not easily accessible. For example, build in with a cover or similar.

The sensor has an M12 thread (12mm) and is conveniently mounted with a bracket (not included) so that it is 1-4mm from e.g. the cardan joint . The length of the sensor including angled contact is approx. 80mm. The length of the sensor is 65 mm.

The output signal is 0V in idle mode. When a magnetic object is within 4mm of the transducer's sensor, the output is +12V, and is also indicated by yellow LEDs on the transducer.
